Privacy Policy

Regulator F&B ("we," "us") provides regulatory intelligence for the food and beverage industry. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

What We Collect

Depending on how you use Regulator F&B, we may collect:

• Contact information, such as your email address and, if provided, your name.
• Newsletter and access status, including whether you subscribed, requested beta access, were authorized for app access, or unsubscribed.
• Authentication records, such as magic-link issuance, token use, and session creation needed to operate login.
• Profile and personalization information you choose to provide in the app, such as role, experience level, watchlist tags, product categories, topics, LinkedIn URL, or pasted role/profile text.
• Product feedback, including item-level relevance feedback and free-text beta feedback you submit.
• Signup attribution and security metadata, such as UTM parameters, landing page, referrer, user agent, and a salted hash of IP address for abuse prevention and source diagnostics. We do not store raw IP addresses for this attribution layer.

How We Use Information

We use this information to:

• send newsletter and transactional emails;
• authenticate accounts through magic links;
• manage beta access requests and subscriber support;
• personalize regulatory feeds and improve relevance;
• understand which public pages and campaigns lead to signups;
• detect spam, bots, abuse, and operational errors; and
• maintain, secure, and improve the service.

Cookies and Tracking

The subscriber application uses a strictly necessary session cookie to keep authenticated users signed in. The session cookie is used only for login and account security.

We do not currently use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or nonessential analytics cookies. Because we do not use nonessential cookies at this time, we do not present a cookie opt-in banner. If we add nonessential tracking in the future, we will update this policy and provide any required notices or choices.

Third-Party Processors

We use a small number of service providers to operate Regulator F&B:

• Resend — email delivery and newsletter contact management.
• Fly.io — hosting for the subscriber application.
• GitHub Pages — hosting for the public marketing site.
• Google Search Console — aggregate search performance and indexing diagnostics for our public site. Search Console does not place cookies on our site.

These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not serve advertisements.

Email Choices

You may unsubscribe from newsletter emails using the unsubscribe link included in those emails. Transactional emails, such as login or access-support messages, may still be sent when needed to operate the service.

Retention

We retain contact, account, and operational records for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security, support beta operations, and comply with reasonable business needs. If you unsubscribe or request deletion, we will remove or de-identify your information unless retention is needed for security, legal, or operational reasons.

Your Rights and Requests

You can request access, correction, unsubscribe assistance, or deletion of your data by emailing hello@regulatorfb.com. We will process requests within a reasonable timeframe.
